Jeez Loueez, “The Powerhouse of the Midwest” is proud to announce the 9th annual Jeezy’s Juke Joint: A Black Burly-Q Revue! After taking the show on the road to raving audiences in St. Louis, Nashville, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, and beyond, the show that features the brightest brown-skinned burlesque stars from across the world is back in Chicago! This jumping, jiving, foot-stomping revue pays homage to Black burlesque and variety with a fabulous line-up of entertainment ranging from classic burlesque to drag to comedy and everything in between.
Once again this year we have a limited amount of paid performance slots and will be accepting applications! We’re looking for bad ass Black entertainers from all backgrounds.
We are looking for polished, complete, dazzling acts that showcase the best of YOUR talents!
All types of burlesque performers, sideshow artists, singers, tap dancers, circus artists, belly dancers, comedians, duos, and groups are encouraged to apply!

*Please note that though there is a small stipend to be paid ($150) performers accepted will be responsible for their own travel expenses to Chicago. Jeezy’s Juke Joint will assist housing set-ups with local burlesque community members.*
Other Amenities- Professional video and photos of your act, transportation to and from the venue, transportation assistance to and from the airport/train/bus depot, discounts on food and drinks at The Promontory, a weekend of hazy memories and incredible fun, the feeling of being a part of something amazing and magical!
